One of my good buddies Ravindra (also a prominent commenter here) has just gave his wonderful site Symbian Life Blog a facelift and a new server so he can keep giving you up to date information about the ongoings of the Symbian world. Even better news is he will be keeping his popular "Nature Through The N95" series going, showing off all his explorations and findings when exploring nature with his Nokia N95 8gb. I know I know, "he should be using the N82 for pictures". The N95 takes just as good photos in sufficient lighting, however Ravindra may miss out on a few shots owls and bats that the N82 would have been perfect for. Either way it's a great series bringing you Butterflies, Plants, Fish, & Squirrels.
If your already a subscriber to Symbian Life Blog you need to get the new RSS feed. If you weren't a subscriber now is a good time as I'm sure there will be many good articles soon to come.
The New Facebook Ovi Application Plugin
One of the first posts Rav writes on his newly upgraded blog is news about a new Facebook application that allows you to embed your Share On Ovi channels into your Facebook page.
Ravindra says,Wow,this is the coolest application I’ve ever come across on Facebook and it has a nice UI too.Now there is no worries on sharing your favourite media on Facebook and OVI slideshows work smoothly, broadening your sharing to the edge. With the new Facebook UI you can Either show the media on Wall tab next to your profile or in separate BOX where all the other apps are listed. Its easy and simple,so why not give a try and discover the new limits of Sharing with “Share on OVI“……
I have yet to test it out myself, as I don't even have a Facebook account. Maybe it is finally time to get one.

Nokia & S60 News & Articles Roundup - Lots Of Good Stuff
I'm trying to get to these types of posts more often, but I haven't had the chance in awhile. I know many of you are interested in whats going on all over the Symbian & Nokia community, so keep reading for some interesting articles I've came across in the past few weeks. You'll find information about over the air firmware updates, voip solutions, touch screens, and more.
Nokia N78 Gets The First "Over The Air" Firmware Update
We already have this option sitting in our N82's but Nokia has never applied it to the recent class of S60 phones. Yesterday it was announced that the new Nokia N78 would be getting the first OTA firmware update. Click here for an overview by Devin from The Nokia Guide. Will Nokia ever give us N82 owners this great option for updating our device? On a side note - I'm currently testing the Nokia N78 and I'm gonna be putting it through some major trials over the next few weeks. Click here to see my initial thoughts over at Symbian-Addict.com and keep checking back for more updates.
Nokia Buys Out Symbian - Plans To Make It Open Source
This was probably some of the biggest mobile news to hit the web this month, right behind the 3g iPhone announcement. Nokia bought out the remaining shares of Symbian and now plans to make it open source. What does this mean? Find out more at Nokia Conversations. While your there check out the rest of the site. It's run by Nokia employees where they talk about various things that have to do with Nokia & the mobile industry. You can leave comments & usually get replies. I think it's a great way for Nokia to be more open.
Hi-N-Bye. Answer, Reject Calls With Motion Instead Of Buttons
This is a very interesting application that Ricky from Symbian-Guru takes a very close look at. He says, "When your phone rings, you raise it up as if you were (naturally) looking at the screen to see who it is. To answer the phone, you then move it directly up to your ear - without pressing any buttons. Hi-N-Bye detects the movement combination, and answers the call." Read more of Ricky's thoughts at this link.
Nokia Creative & The N95 Photo Awards
We all know the N82 is the best mobile imaging device. But the N95 takes some damn good day pictures too. Check out the award winners for April & May over at James Burland's popular Nokia N95 Photo Awards article. What are you waiting for N82 owners? Show James what the N82 is capable of. Join the Nokia N82 User Group at Flickr and start uploading your best photos.
