Deal Alert! Nokia N82 Silver For $359.99 Shipped. Why So Low?

Another shocking deal for N82 fans. I know the big crave is for the N82 black right now, but if your fond of the silver and titanium color than this is for you. I've never seen the price of this phone go this low, and it comes with a 1 year US Warranty. Amazing.

This great deal is from Amazon.com. Nokia N82 Silver with a 2gb Card Included.

What is driving the price of the N82 silver down? Are they trying to make more room for the N82 black inventory. Is the silver not selling and their trying to get rid of it. Or is the impending release of the Nokia N78 going to drive down the price of the N82? So many factors. Either way I'm looking forward to the price of the N82 black coming down hopefully in a month.

Nokia N82 Black Or Silver? My Final Decision

Nokia N82 Black Photos From www.then82blog.com - Share on OviNokia N82 - Share on Ovi

Now that I've had a chance to play with the N82 black for a few weeks I can finally decide if I want to keep the original N82 silver color or buy a N82 black. Before I actually got a hands on with the black version all I saw was pictures, pictures and more pictures. From those pictures I pretty much knew I wanted the black, but the silver started growing on me. Because of the ridiculous amount of pictures going around the web I am not going to take any side by side shots of the two colors, instead you can click here to see the ones I posted about a month ago if you haven't got your fill.

After spending a few weeks with the N82 black beauty, I have fallen in love with it. At a glance it just looks so much better. Of course this is just personal opinion and bias for black phones. Before the N82 silver I had the N73 black and most of my previous phones were black. So of course it's up to the user. I can sit here and talk all day about how I like the color better, but what else?

To me all the keys feel a lot better on the black version. It's been two weeks with the phone and still no creaking from the d-pad. All the edges around the center button are evenly raised and have an equal feel all the way around when pressed. Like I said before the outer rim of the d-pad feels more raised arouned the center button, almost like it's cupping the center button giving it a very nice feel when you put your thumb on it. As for the number keys I have been getting a creaking sound when it's warm out and I'm texting alot. Right now in the room I'm in it's pretty cold and I hear no creaks. Once in awhile the C button makes a slight click sound, almost like it's sticking to whatevers underneath it, but it doesn't feel that way. There is no gap around the edges of the screen like some people have noticed on the titanium.

Another thing I've realized is there are no scratches or nicks on the phone yet, something that happened within two weeks of owning the titanium. Maybe I'm just treating this phone better, but honestly I feel like any little thing would add a scratch to the N82 titanium, especially around the Nokia label below the screen. One thing to remember though is the black is a fingerprint magnet. Holy crap sometimes I wipe it clean then five minutes later they are back again. I'm constantly wiping it clean with my sunglass cloth that now I'm keeping in my pocket regularly. Sometiems I wish they would've used more of a matte finish on the front, similar to the sides but slightly glossier than the sides. This is something I can live with though.

So what's the verdict? Obviously I'm gonna go buy a N82 black as soon as I have enough money. The build quality just seems alot better and I'm sold on the color. I have a feeling Nokia realized some of the small flaws of the original and tried to fix the problems with the black model and hopefully all newly made titanium models.

How many of you have switched over to the black, and are you happy with your choice? How about you the titanium owners? Are you happy keeping your silver beauty until the next best thing comes around?

Got My Hands On The N82 Black - Initial Thoughts

Well I finally got to see a Nokia N82 black in real life. Having it in my hand looks just as good if not better than all the pictures posted. All the buttons feel a lot more solid, but maybe it's just because the phone is brand new. Thanks to WOM World for hooking me up with the phone for a few weeks so I can share it here with you guys. I have now decided that I eventually need to get one of these. I like it way better than the titanium color, even though the black is more prone to fingerprints. Right when I pulled the phone out of the box I realized that it was covered in my fingerprints almost instantly. You really need to keep one of those soft clothes nearby. The black color just looks a lot better especially for a guy. Plus I've always enjoyed having black phones better than any other color.

Anyways, here are a handful of pictures I've taken of the N82 black version. I know you've already seen plenty so I didn't got overboard. Just basic closeups and different angles.

note: the slideshow is in flash and may not be viewable from some rss readers. full the full website if you can't see anything.

One thing I would've asked for is a more matted surface instead of glossy and shiny. Like I said before the black is more prone to fingerprints, and I think this could've been helped by having less shine.

If you have any questions please leave them in the comments below. I'll have a more in depth review over at Symbian-Addict where I do all of my phone reviews.

The N82 Gets A Great PrOn Review From Major TV Website G4

I just watched this video review of the Nokia N82 and thought I would share it. This review comes from "G4-TV That's Unplugged" and their reviews called "Gadget PrOn". They compare it to the iPhone, which I think is good for the N82 to get this type of exposure because it shows what it can do compare to the iPhone. They also compare it to a real digital camera, saying that it stacks up well. This is the first time I saw this website and it actually doesn't look to bad.

Check out the N82 video review...

Nice to see the N82 getting some recognition right? What did you think of the review?
